Sensitive Information: For winners of prizes valued at $2,000 or more, we collect Social Security Numbers (SSN) via Form W-9 as required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Usage Data: We collect information on how you interact with our Market Intelligence tools and calculator settings to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and maintain the Market Intelligence Feed.
  • Personalize your profit calculator results based on your saved settings.
  • Administer sweepstakes, including verifying Unique Request Codes (URCs) and fulfilling prizes.
  • Comply with legal and tax reporting obligations (1099-MISC filings).

4. Data Sharing & International Transfers

Service Providers: We share data with trusted partners including Shopify (billing), iPostal (mail-in verification), and Supabase (database hosting).

Administrative Access: To facilitate the manual verification of mail-in entries, limited data (names, URCs, and postmark images) may be accessed by OWC administrative staff located in the Philippines. All such access is restricted via Row Level Security (RLS) and is limited to the minimum data necessary to perform the verification.

Legal Requirements: We will disclose your information to the IRS and other government authorities only as required by law.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Encryption: Sensitive tax documentation is stored in an encrypted format.

Access Control: Our database uses Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure that general administrative staff cannot view sensitive user data (such as SSNs) or full financial profiles.

Data Minimization: We only retain sensitive tax information for as long as is necessary to fulfill our legal reporting obligations.
